Our Philosopy

Base Mini Barcelona works as a training group for sailors with a defined racing project.

Each member has their own boat, and during the winter we organize training sessions roughly every two weekends. We don’t offer beginner classes, so previous sailing experience and a clear project are essential.

One of the main requirements to join is to participate in at least 70% of the training sessions, have a boat ready to race in Category C regattas ( Mini-Class Rules ), and take part in at least one official Mini-Class race per year.

Since the group is small and space is limited, we aim to maintain a tight-knit community with similar levels of commitment and sporting goals.

There’s no minimum funding required to participate, but maintaining a Mini does involve costs.

Full Training Membership

For sailors with a defined sportive project (aiming for the Mini Transat).

We offer:

Training every two weeks from September to May.

A place for your Mini 6.50

Access to gym, showers, and limited storage.

Support and shared knowledge for qualification and race preparation.

Requirements:    

Have a valid Federal Sailing License recognized by "World Sailing".

Complete the First Aid and Safety at Sea courses required for Solo Racing.

Have a racing project with a clear goal.

Participate in at least in 2 Mini Class Races per year.

Attend at least 70% of the training sessions.

Costs:    

250€ per year for Base Mini Barcelona membership.

154€ per month for the boat parking, training, and facilities access (Invoiced by BISC).
